I developed an interest in art at a very early age when my mother enrolled me in art classes. She believed that her children should pursue a creative passion beyond schoolwork, often saying that life would be more fulfilling and rewarding if we embraced art or music. Her encouragement nurtured a lifelong love of painting that has remained with me into adulthood.
Believing that learning is a lifelong journey, I have sought guidance over the years from many contemporary masters, to whom I am eternally grateful. Each has influenced my artistic journey in meaningful ways, encouraging me to continue exploring, learning, and growing as an artist.
As Henri Matisse said, “Creativity takes courage.” These words resonate deeply with me. They remind me to remain curious, embrace new challenges, and have the courage to explore where my artistic journey may lead.
My goal as an artist is to make time stand still, if only for a moment, by creating paintings that entertain, enlighten, and capture the imagination. Through color, portraiture, and landscape, I strive to explore emotion, evoke a sense of place, and invite viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with the beauty of the world around them.
